  • Acupuncture

Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine have been used for thousands of years to heal the body. Acupuncture involves inserting thin needles into specific points in the body to alleviate pain and to treat physical, mental and emotional conditions and promote an overall sense of well-being.

  • Gua Sha

Gua sha is a scraping technique using a porcelain spoon, or jade or stone tool to increase blood circulation producing an anti-inflammatory effect. It is effective for acute and chronic pain, colds and respiratory conditions. Gua sha resolves spasms and pain, and promotes normal circulation to the muscles, tissues and organs directly beneath the area that is treated. The patient experiences immediate changes in stiffness and pain with increased mobility.

  • Cupping

Cupping is a simple procedure that creates suction on the skin, bringing fresh blood to the area to release stagnation, help break up scar tissue and alleviate pain.

  • Moxibustion

Moxibustion (moxa) uses natural heat therapy by burning mugwort (Artemesia Vulgaris) on or near the skin. This ancient Asian practice is said to dispel pathogens from the body, increase blood circulation and enhance the immune system.

  • NADA Ear Acupuncture

The National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) ear acupuncture protocol is a non-verbal approach to healing that involves the gentle placement of up to five small, sterilized, disposable needles into specific sites on each ear. The sites were chosen based upon Chinese Medical Theory and clinic indication, as well as lower electrical resistance and pain sensitivity. All five points serve to balance the body’s energy and assist in the healing. The recipients sit quietly in a group setting for 30-45 minutes. Talking or meditating is not necessary.

  • Massage Therapy and Assisted Stretching

Massage therapy helps to improve fibromyalgia, arthritis, carpal tunnel, hypertension, migraines, low back pain and much more..

Assisted stretching involves having one person guide another through stretches to increase mobility and flexibility. It can offer a deeper and more intense stretch than people can achieve on their own. Contact Nancy Sullivan directly to schedule at 773-370-8212.

  • AcuGlow Facial

AcuGlow is a high-end facial system that combines TOMA Skin Therapy products, facial gua sha, facial cupping, LED light therapy and body acupuncture to tighten wrinkles, and restore skin health naturally. This practice aims to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, promote microcirculation and encourage cellular metabolism for a smoother and toned skin.

  • Micro Needling

Micro needling, also called collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive technique that uses thin needles, typically 12 micro tips, to create microchannels in the skin. The “wounds” created help stimulate the skin’s own healing process by producing more collagen and elastin to the areas treated. Cellular turnover is also enhanced and the end result is firmer, smoother skin, more even tone, and the reduction of acne scars, pore size, wrinkes and stretch marks.
